Phase relations in the molybdenum-gallium system

Diffusion couples and alloys in the molybdenum-gallium system were examined by thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, electron microprobe and metallography. Two intermetallic compounds were identified and characterized as follows: (1) Mo3Ga peritectic 1820 ± 20 °C (2) MoGa5 peritectic 835 ± 5 °C.
