摘要
Realizing remotely pumped, highly directional on-chip light sources in planar architectures remains challenging. Here, we report an on-chip photonic architecture that integrates a metallic nanoslit metasurface with a Tamm plasmon polarization (TPP) cavity. Circularly polarized pump light incident on the chirality-sensitive nanoslit metasurface launches unidirectional surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs), which efficiently excite the spatially separated TPP mode. We observe enhanced Tamm plasmon (TP) emission with a 3-fold enhancement in chiral excitation ratio and a directional beam with a divergence half angle below 3.5°, indicating full-path control from free-space excitation to directional on-chip light-emission out-coupling. Our approach provides a promising building block for integrated nanophotonic light sources in laser technology, sensing, and quantum information processing.
