摘要
In this paper, a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controller has been manifested for controlling the output voltage of a DC – DC boost converter (DDBC). Genetic algorithm (GA), a data-driven optimization technique, is used to optimize the LQR controller's parameters. To assess how well the designed controller performs, simulation is used first. Then, based on the outcomes of the simulation, the GA optimized LQR (GA – LQR) controller provides better performance and dynamic stability under load variation, disturbed input supply voltage, and other environmental circumstances. Finally, a comparative analysis has been depicted between GA optimized LQR (GA – LQR) and conventional PID controller in terms of settling time, overshoot, and undershoot. MATLAB/ Simulink software package is used for optimization and simulation purposes.
