Role and advances in nonmetal doping of electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction: a review

This review summarizes the synthesis, modification, and characterization of nonmetal-doped HER electrocatalysts. Reported catalysts are categorized by dopant type, and future prospects for non-metal doping strategies are discussed.
