Unraveling microenvironment modification in an atomically dispersed bimetallic FeCu catalyst in the oxygen reduction reaction

FeCu bimetallic catalysts with Fe–Cu dimers, Fe 5 –CuN 4 and isolated Fe/Cu were investigated with an emphasis on the effect of microenvironment modification on the oxygen reduction reaction. Among them, the Fe–Cu dimer achieved the highest activity.
