摘要
A wideband dual-polarized dipole antenna using specially designed artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) reflector with stable radiation pattern for applying to 4G and 5G base stations is presented. The antenna consists of a pair of crossed-dipoles and an AMC reflector which consists of an AMC surface and a metallic ground plane. The designed antenna can cover the frequency bands from 2.20 to 4.07 GHz, and the reflection coefficient in the above frequency band is less than 10 dB, and the mean isolation is greater than 22 dB. The realized gain in the 4G band (2.3-2.4 GHz and 2.5-2.69 GHz) is 8 dBi and the 5G band (3.3-4.0 GHz) is 8.9 dBi. The AMC reflection structure can reduce the gain by up to 6.5 dB in the frequency band from 2.8 GHz to 3.1 GHz, which plays a certain role of out-of-band filtering. Thus, this wideband dual-polarized antenna is potential for 4G/5G base station applications.
