摘要
This chapter presents an overview of hydrogenation processes carried out under ex situ and in situ conditions. It starts with a general description of fine chemicals and the importance of hydrogenation reactions for fine chemical synthesis. A discussion about asymmetric hydrogenation of organic compounds has also been presented. Various methods adopted for the synthesis of different catalysts and their applications for hydrogenation reactions has been discussed in detail.
