Preparation and performance characterization of vinyl terminated methylphenyl silicone oil

Using (MePhSiO)4 as the raw material, vinyl tetramethyl disiloxane as the terminator,tetrabutyl ammonium hydroxide as catalyst, synthesizing methylphenyl silicone oil of different molecular weight was prepared by anion polymerization and its performance was characterized by 1H-NMR,GPC,dynamic viscosity and refractive index. This methylphenyl silicone oil was cross linked with hydrogen terminated silicone oil and the transmittance and hard-ness of the cured were determined.
