Solar desalination system can ease energy pressures,as well as water shortage.The design and application of solar desalination systems are described here,thermal calculation program for low temperature multiply effects desalination(MED) system is developed,the heat exchangers in solar system is calculated.Optimal design for the whole system of solar island and desalination island is carried out.
