THE SPATIO-TEMPORAL VARIABILITY OF PRECIPITATION ACIDITY AND ITS DRIVING FACTORS IN MA'ANSHAN CITY

The spatio-temporal variability of precipitation acidity and its driving factors were analyzed based on the monitoring data of precipitation in Ma'anshan City from 1996 to 2000. The results showed that precipitation acidity and the yearly and monthly acid rain frequency in the city were obviously different. The main reason of yearly variability of precipitation acidity and acid rain frequency was the variation of SO_2 emission from factories, and the topography and meteorology were also an important impact on the spatial and monthly variability of precipitation acidity.
