Research Progress of Phase Transformation of Stainless Steel

The research progress of phase transformation of stainless steel was summarized,the effects of main alloy elements on phase transformation were also discussed.In ferrite stainless steel,carbide and nitride will be precipitated when heating to high temperature,which reduces corrosion resistance and toughness.The M(martensite)→γ(austenite) transformation occurs during heating in martensite stainless steel.The γ(austenite)→δ(ferrite) transformation occurs when heating above 1300 ℃ in austenite stainless steel,martensite transformation occurs when cooling or undergoing cold-work.As a result of austenite existing,the phase transformation in duplex stainless steel is similar to that in austenite stainless steel.
