The influence of oxygen on catalyst activity of MIBK from isopropanol was explored through experiements. The experiment results of batch ventilation and continuous ventilation indicated that the catalyst was reversible when the oxygen concentration was less than 1 000 ppm because of the reduction of the byproduct-hydrogen which counteracts the influence of oxygen on catalyst. When the oxygen concentration was over 3 000 ppm,the catalyst was irreversible and its activity was of linear decrease.More over, the higher the oxygen concentration was,the faster the catalyst activity decreased. In addition, the experiment indicated that oxygen not only destroyed the synergistic reaction of multifunctional catalyst but also influenced the dehydrogenability of isopropanol, when the oxygen concentration was under 3 000 ppm and 5 000 ppm.
