THE CLINICICAL EFFECTS OF CAST POST-CORE CROWN WITH SINGLE INRARADICULAR RETENTION AND DETACHED CAST POST-CORE CROWN IN THE TREATMENT OF MOLAR RESIDUAL ROOT AND CROWN
Objective To observe the clinical effects of cast post-core crown with single intraradicular retention and detached cast post-core crown in the treatment of molar residual root and crown. Methods Eighty-two severely damaged molars were selected in this study,of which,40 were restored with cast post-core crown of single intraradicular retention(group A),42 were restored with detached cast post-core crown.The patients were followed up for three years after restoration. Results Altogether 79 roots regained their functions.The success rates of groups A and B were 97.50%(39/40) and 95.24%(40/42),respectively. Conclusion Both kinds of cast post-core crown restorations can achieve good clinical results.
