CaO doped(Ni0.2Cu0.2Zn0.6)1.02(Fe2O3)0.98(NiCuZn) ferrites were prepared by low temperature sintering using the conventional ceramics preparation technique.The effects of CaO content on the microstructure and electromagnetic properties of the NiCuZn ferrites were investigated.The results show that doping suitable amount of CaO significantly improves the sintering performance,microstructure and hence the electromagnetic properties of the NiCuZn ferrites.The NiCuZn ferrite doped with 0.4%(mass fraction) CaO and prepared by sintering at 885 ℃ for 3 h shows a uniform dense microstructure and superior electromagnetic performance.Its initial permeability,resistivity and power loss are 354、5.6×1011 Ω?cm and 214.5 kW/m3,respectively.It also shows a good matching with Ag electrode during the co-fire process.
