On the Late-developing Advantage and Late-developing Disadvantage of Developing Countries

The late-developing advantage theory summarized by Guo Xibao is more profound and systemic than the former researches in this field and it has creative significance. Guo Xibao illustrated the objective existence of late-developing advantage in developing countries as well as how to give full play to late-developing advantage, and his theory could be used for reference on the research of late-developing advantage. Based on his theory, this paper summarizes the late-developing disadvantage of developing countries comprehensively and holds the view that developing countries should not only make good use of late-developing advantage, but also avoid the negative effects brought by late-developing disadvantage as far as possible to accelerate the continuable development of the economy.
