Application of Arterial Compression Hemostasis after Coronary Arteriography

Objective To assess the safety and efficacy of YM-GU-1229 femoral arterial compression hemostasis which was applied on femoral artery puncture site after coronary angiography(CAG).Methods A total of 195 patients with CAG through femoral artery path were randomly assigned into the experimental group(n=105) treated with femoral artery compression device(FACD) of YM-GU-1229,which were produced by Tianjin Ymir Medical CO.LTD and the control group(n=90) treated with the routine manual compression hemostasis.The hemostasis time,braking time and the incidence of vascular complications were compared between the two groups.Results A comparison was conducted on the hemostasis methods between the two groups.The hemostasis time in the experimental group and the control group were(3.0±1.5)min and(20±4.5)min respectively.The braking time of lower limbs in the experimental group and the control group were(8.5±2.5)h and(22.0±2.0)h respectively.The hemostasis time and braking time of lower limbs were significantly decreased in the two experimental groups(P0.05).The incident of vascular complications in the experimental group(6.7%) was significantly less than that(12.2%) in the control group(P0.05).No significant difference was observed on the success rate of hemostasis between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion YM-GU-1229 FACD could significantly shorten the hemostasis time and braking time of low limbs.The procedure is convenient and its serviceable range is wide.Meanwhile the incidence of vascular complications is significantly lower with YM-GU-1229 FACD than traditional manual compression and it is worth extending in clinical practice.
