Objective To investigate the effect of gene expression of SARP1 on the formation and contraction of hypertrophic scar. Methods Twelve cases of hypertrophic scar and 12 non-hypertrophic scar and 12 normal skin were collected for the experimental and the control groups and these scar samples were taken at 3,6,9,12 months respectively after burned. Freezing slices and cultured fibroblasts were carried out to detect the expression of these genes by hybridization in situ. Some special parts of cDNA of SARP1 was selected and made into oligonucleotide probe. Results The expression of SARP1 in hypertrophic scars was sinificantly stronger than that in non-hypertrophic scars and much weaker in normal skins. The expression of SARP in early-stage is much stronger than those in advanced-stage ones,or normal skins. Conclusion Proliferation of HS is closely related to SARP1,and it is extremely important. To regulate the gene expression has the potential to reduce scar formation.
