Study on Consumption of Zinc Powder in Purification in Zinc Hydrometallurgy Process

The factors affecting the consumption of zinc powder and decobalt and deantimony in the purification of zinc sulfate solution by adding zinc powder are investigated.The results indicate that chemical quality and physical specification of zinc powder have a direct effect on the consumption of zinc powder,the increase of temperature helps decobalt and deantimony;and the prolonged resident time helps removel of Sb,hawever,this will cause the redissolution of cobalt into the solution.
