An improved equal scallop height machining method of free form surface

NC machining strategy of free form surface determines it’s machining quality. Equal scallop height method is a better machining strategy of high machining efficiency and high machining quality. As to complex free form surface and free form surface which has mutational point,the machining path which is calculated by equal scallop height method is not smooth. An improved machining path calculating method based on equal scallop height method is proposed. Smooth machining path can be obtained through this method.
