Clear and Durable Epoxy Coatings that Exhibit Dynamic Omniphobicity

A graft copolymer is designed, synthesized, and used to introduce 4.0 wt% or more poly(dimethyl siloxane) into epoxy formulations to yield transparent coatings. On tilting these coatings, all tested laboratory liquids with surface tension above 22 mN m−1 cleanly slide down. In addition, the coatings shrink paint and ink even after extensive wear. These coatings are of practical value.
