The soyben proline-rich protein gene Gm PRP was cloned early. In order to research the function of Gm PRP in response to salt stress,the p PZP-Gm PRP plant expression vector was constructed,in which Gm PRP gene was driven by constitutive promoter Ca MV35 S. Seven positive transgenic Arabidopsis plant lines were obtained through Floral dip genetic transformation. The seed germination rate of Gm PRP transgenic Arabidopsis were higher than that of wild-type Arabidopsis under salt treatment. Gm PRP transgenic Arabidopsis maintained lower level of malondialdehyde compared to that of wild-type Arabidopsis under salt treatment. These results showed that Gm PRP transgenic Arabidopsis increased tolerance to salt compared to wildtype plants.
