THE OPTIMUM RELEASE ANGLE IN SHOT PUT

By using the superposition principle of motions to decompose the projectile motion of the shot into a combination of two rectilinear motions,this paper proposes a new simple method to analyze the optimum release angle in shot put.The results are compared with those obtained by the traditional methods under two different conditions.
