摘要
Cardiorespiratory (CR) fitness, or aerobic fitness, is a term used to describe the ability of the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen to the working muscles during activity. CR fitness is an important assessment to use in the post-stroke population due to the risk of a sedentary lifestyle. For healthcare professionals working in rehabilitation of people post-stroke, it is important to understand the methodology and exercise protocols used to assess CR fitness to guide exercise prescription and enhance cardiovascular health.
