Abstract Smart materials are advanced systems that can adapt to external stimuli such as heat, light, or pH, exhibiting unique properties like self‐healing, shape memory, and fluorescence changes. Recently, acrylate‐based 3D/4D printed smart materials have gained significant attention due to their versatility in applications ranging from biomedical fields to adsorption technologies. This review highlights the recent advancements (since 2020) in the synthesis and applications of acrylate‐based smart hydrogels with shape memory and self‐healing capabilities. Furthermore, it explores current developments in pH‐ and thermo‐responsive acrylate materials and discusses future directions for designing multifunctional acrylate‐based 3D/4D printed hydrogels. This comprehensive overview aims to guide researchers in developing next‐generation smart hydrogel materials.
