Hydrothermal exfoliation of boron nitride into few-layer nanosheets in mixed NaOH/KOH solution

Abstract In this work, the few-layer BN nanosheets (BNNSs) have been prepared in mixed NaOH/KOH solution by hydrothermal exfoliation. The morphology and structure of BNNSs were determined by a series of characterizations. The as-exfoliated BNNSs had the ultrathin thickness of ca. 1–2 layers. The forming mechanism of BNNSs was proposed.
