摘要
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of ginseng protein (GP) on MPTP induced Parkinson's disease (PD) in mice. Constructing a chronic PD model by intraperitoneal injection of MPTP in C57BL/6 mice. Behavioural experiments have shown that GP can significantly improve behavioural disorders in chronic PD model mice. GP treatment also restored the MPTP induced decrease in dopamine levels, thereby alleviating PD related pathology. Pathology of brain and intestinal tissues showed that GP significantly improved the distribution of hippocampal cells and striatal structure in mice, reduced the aggregation of alpha synuclein (α - Syn), and increased the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) in the brain. The analysis of gut microbiota showed that GP partially restored the disruption of gut microbiota in chronic PD mice. Ginseng total protein can improve behavioural disorders, brain and intestinal pathological damage, and gut microbiota disorders in C57BL/6 mice with chronic Parkinson's disease.
