A Facile Synthetic Method of Poly(Propargyltriphenylphosphonium-Tetraphenylborate) Via Ion Exchange Reaction of Poly(Propargyltriphenylphosphonium Bromide) Using Tetraphenylboron Sodium
A Novel conjugated salt polymer having a highly bulky substituent, methylene triphenylphosphonium-tetraphenylborate from the simple ion excahnge reaction of poly(propargyl triphenylphosphoniumbromide) by tetraphenylboron sodium. The yellow poly(propargyltriphenylphosphonium-tetraphenylborate) was formed. The polymer showed different physical and chemical properties in comparison to the precursor polymer. The polymer structure was characterized by various instrumental methods such as NMR (1H-, 13C-), IR, and UV-visible spectroscopies.
