Room-temperature single-photon emission from III-nitride nanowire quantum dots: towards realization of the photonic qubit-based quantum computer

The development of III-nitride NWQDs for single-photon sources, strategies to overcome the limitations restricting room-temperature operation and faster switching speed, and their potential for a photonic qubit quantum computer are discussed.
