CHIP fellowships: Carving a path for complex PCI

Key Points Dedicated CHIP training can improve access and outcomes for high‐risk patients needing revascularization. Given the variability in current CHIP training programs, uniformity in institutional training standards and case matrix may be an important step to achieve proficiency in all key CHIP skill domains and ensure a smooth transition to practice. Though CHIP procedures carry higher costs, overall contribution margins remain positive.
