The inverse spinel, NiFe2O4 synthesized by high energy ball milling with subsequent sintering at 1200°C. X-Ray Diffraction pattern confirms the formation of cubic nickel ferrite. Randomly shaped particles are seen agglomerated in the SEM image. Magnetic measurement at room temperature reveals soft ferrimagnetic behavior, and the effective μB is calculated. Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy confirms the effect of dipolar interactions and isotropic exchange between magnetic ions (Fe3+ and Ni2+) on the effective g-factor value.
