The development of technology has driven changes in transportation modes. Taxi has also become one of the most important modes of travel in the city, which greatly facilitates people's travel. The taxi industry needs more standardization and unification. Taximeter can measure the mileage and time of the taxi, and calculate the amount payable by passengers according to the corresponding unit price. It is a very common taxi tool, and it is closely related to the interests of taxi drivers and consumers. Taximeter is an instrument designed according to the principle of digital electronic circuit. Taxi meter is an instrument designed according to the principle of digital electronic circuit. It calculates the amount required for different distances by measuring the distance traveled by a taxi. It has functions such as displaying price, waiting time, pricing, kilometers display and so on. With the development of the taxi industry, instruments have also developed rapidly. Gauges are the basic tools of taxi industry norms, which can protect the legitimate interests of consumers and drivers. Therefore, it is an inevitable choice to update the taximeter in time. This article is a simulation design of a taxi charging system based on the STC89C52 processor. This meter can simulate the taxi's pricing system when driving, and automatically calculate the amount of passenger payable based on the driving distance, so as to provide consumers with a basis for consumption. The use of an oscillator can better ensure the accuracy and fairness of the clock.
