Short oral presentation abstractsechocardiography (2D-STE) to evaluate suspected IUGR by using prenatal ultrasound, and to find more sensitive indicators to evaluate the impaired cardiac function of fetuses with IUGR, which can provide more information for prenatal consulting and facilitate early clinical intervention.Methods: This is a prospective cohort study from July 2022 to December 2022 in a single tertiary referral centre, including 47 suspected IUGR fetuses and 32 normal fetuses.According to the pregnancy outcomes, the 47 suspected IUGR fetuses were divided into adverse pregnancy outcome group (including premature delivery, small-for-gestational-age fetus and induced labour) and full-term mature fetuses group.Detailed 2D-STE was performed on the enrolled fetuses, TomTec Imaging Systems was performed to acquire the left ventricular systolic function parameters and strain parameters.All the values and baseline characteristics were compared in the three groups.Results: 47 suspected IUGR fetuses were divided into adverse pregnancy outcome group (including 7 premature delivery fetuses, 10 small-for-gestational-age fetuses and 5 induced labour fetuses, totally 22 fetuses) and 25 fetuses in full-term mature fetuses group.MyoGCS and endoGCS had no significant difference among the three groups.The absolute value of myoGLS, endoGLS, GRS was gradually increased among the three groups.Comparing with full-term mature fetuses group and control group, the absolute value of EF, FAC were significantly decreased in adverse pregnancy outcome group.Conclusions: 2D-STE might be a sensitive tool to evaluate left ventricular myocardial deformation in fetal hearts with IUGR, predicting prognosis of suspected IUGR for clinical guidance in pregnancy.
