Palladium-catalyzed desulfonylative aminocarbonylation of benzylsulfonyl chlorides with o-aminobenzaldehydes/o-aminoacetophenones for the synthesis of quinoin-2(1H)-ones

A straightforward and efficient synthesis of quinoin-2(1 H )-ones has been explored via a palladium-catalyzed desulfonylative aminocarbonylation of benzylsulfonyl chlorides with o -aminobenzaldehydes/ o -aminoacetophenones.
