OBJECTIVE To explore the distribution of pathogenic bacteria causing lower respiratory tract infections in patients going through general anesthesia with tracheal inbubation, and analyze the correlations between lower respiratory tract infections and operation type and the age,so as to provide reference for the prevention and control of lower respiratory tract infections.METHODS From Aug.2007 to Aug.2011,a total of 107 patients with lower preparatory tract infections after general anesthesia with tracheal inbubation were selected.By the means of retrospective survey, statistical analysis of the clinical data of the patients was performed.RESULTS Among all cases of lower respiratory tract infections,gram-negative bacteria were the predominant pathogens causing nosocomial infections, accounting for 86.92% and nervous system infections occupied the largest proportion, reaching 43.93%.The incidence of lower respiratory tract infections was 43.93% in patients aged 60 years or older.CONCLUSION The lower respiratory tract infections in patients after general anesthesia with tracheal intubation are closely related to age and operation type. For the patients with high incidence of infections,it is necessary to take effective prevention measures.
