In a 5×5 Latin Squire experiment design, five sheep with rumenfistula were used to study the effect of different treated rations on the digestion and metabolite in the rumen. The dynamic changes of pH values, concentrations of NH 3-N and urea-N in the rumen fluid were measured respectively. The results indicated that pH values and NH 3-Nconentrations of rumen fluid were in the range of normal physiology for the rumen microorganism when the soybean neal in the ration was replaced partly by the urea; The releasing rate of ammonia in the slowly-released urea was lower than that of uncovered urea(P0.05);the slowly-released urea coated with polyvinylalcohol(PVA)affected urea-Nconcentrations of the rumen fluid, which in 0.5 hour after intake were increased significantly(P0.05).The refore,it was practicable that slowly-released urea decreased releasing rate of ammonia in the rumen.
