Microwave assisted H2O2 degradation of phenol in water was studied. Different factors associated with the effect of degradation were investigated. Results indicated that the optimal conditions for microwave assisted H2O2 degradation of phenol in water were as follows: for the 100 mL phenol solution with concentration 50 mg·L- 1,adding 8. 0 mL H2O2solution( 6%),microwave power 500 W,at room temperature, the degradation ratio was up to88. 76% after 45 min. Meanwhile, the experimental results showed that the microwave and H2O2 have obvious synergetic effect for the degradation of phenol solution.
