Photocatalytic oxidation method is a new and effective technology for water treatment developed in recent years. The paper reviews the basic mechanism and feature of photocatalytic oxidation, expounding the research development and outlook for this study in the organic synthesis chemical industrial wastewater, dying wastewater, pesticide wastewater, coking wastewater and pharmaceutical wastewater.
