The measurement of COD in wastewater can be affected by a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide. The influence becomes more serious with the increase of hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide can not be decomposed by adding NaOH in wastewater, and alkaline treatment can not be used to remove the low concentration of hydrogen peroxide.
