Influence on the puerarin contents of Gegenqinlian decoction prepared by different methods

OBJECTIVE To investigate the content change of puerarin in Gegenqinlian Decoctions (composed of Puerariae, Scutellariae and Coptidis) prepared by decoction machine and by traditional method. METHODS The HPLC method was used for the determination. Chromatographic conditions: Hypersil C 18 column( 5 μm ,ID 4.6 × 250 mm ),methanol water(30∶70) as mobile phase, the wavelenth was 250 nm .RESULTS The content was 166.97 mg in the decoction made by traditional method, 112.70 mg in the decoction by the decoction machine. CONCLUSIONS The content of puearin in the decoction made by traditional method is higher than that in the decoction made by the decoction machine.
