Study of hemorheological changes in patients with essential hypertension

Objective To study the hemorheological changes in patients with essential hypertension(EH).Methods 86 patients with EH were divided according to blood pressure level into mild,moderate and high blood pressure group.54 subjeccts with normal were studied as controls.Hemorrheology parameters were detected in all 86 patients with EH and in 54 healthy subjects.Results The parameters of hemorheology were significantly higher in EH patients than in controls(P0.05).Conclusion There is some character of hemorheology in patients with EH.The changes of hemorheology were closely related with essential hypertension.
