Synthesis of Functional Methylphosphane-Borane Derivatives. II. Syntheses of Chlorodimethylphosphane-Borane, Dimethyl(amino)phosphane-borane and Sodium (Boranato-Dimethylphosphinite): Precursors for the Chemistry of the H3B(CH3)2P-Group

Abstract A convenient large-scale synthesis of chloro-dimethylphosphane-borane from the phosphane and borane-tetrahydrofuran adduct is described. The product is the starting material for the chemistry with the H3B(CH3)2P-group as illustrated by the examples dimethyl(amino)phosphane-borane and sodium (boranato-dimethylphosphinite).
