A Green, Catalyst-Free Method for the Synthesis of Sulfonamides and Sulfonylazides

Abstract A novel, green method for the efficient synthesis of sulfonamide and sulfonylazide derivatives by the reaction of sulfonyl chlorides with amines or sodium azide under catalyst-free conditions has been developed. The reactions proceed with high yields and excellent selectivities in short reaction times. GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
