Objective: To study the effect of estrogen and progestogen on the development and implantation of mouse embryos in vitro. Methods: Mouse morulas were co-cultured with human decidual cells, then the development, attachment, and outgrowth of mouse embryos were observed by adding estrogen alone, progestogen alone, or estrogen plus progestogen to co-culture in vitro, and the experiment was divided into 4 groups.Results: In estrogen-treated group, the development rate is obviously higher than that in control, while in the group treated with estrogen plus progestogen, both the rate of blastocysts attachment and outgrowth are higher than control. Conclusion: It suggests that the development of morulas can be promoted by estrogen treatment alone, while the attachment and outgrowth of mouse blastocysts can be promoted by the co-application of estrogen and progestogen.
