Extraction and Determination of the Polysaccharide in Radix Codonopsis Lanceolatae from the Mountain Taishan

Objective To extract the polysaccharide and measure the content in Radix Codonopsis Lanceolatae from Mountain Taishan.Methods The polysaccharide was obtained with the water extraction and alcohol precipitation method,and the polysaccharide content was measured with the phenol-sulphuric acid method.Results The polysaccharide content in Radix Codonopsis Lanceolatae was 12.45%,the rate of recovery was 99.12%,and RSD was 1.49%(n=4).Conclusion Radix Codonopsis Lanceolatae from Mountain Taishan contains plentiful polysaccharide,and it has much economic value.
