Research for flight envelope effect of the control surface fault

It is important for flight envelope assessment in the presence of control surface fault as it will influence the flight safety of the aircraft.Considered the characteristic of the control surface fault,a dynamic flight envelope assessment method is proposed in this paper.Firstly,according to control surface fault could cause the aerodynamic parameter change,the fault modeling is built.Then,based on the recursive least square method,the aerodynamic parameters are identified in online.Finally,the flight envelope is assessed accurately.The assessment result will provide the information for a pilot and the envelope protection systems.
