Water-source Heat Pump Configuration Optimization based on Part Load Performance

This paper analyzes performance of water-source heat pump under Part Load Ratio(PLR) and summer condition was simulated according to mathematical model of chiller.The results indicate that the Coefficient of Performance(COP) of chiller will increase first and then decrease as PLR decreases,and the COP of chiller will decrease sharply when PLR decreases under a special value.Configuration optimization of multiple chillers by using the performance characteristics of single chiller indicates that the configuration of various type parallel chillers according to cooling load rate distribution of building will benefit to the energy-saving compared to the configuration of the same type chillers.
