Effect of Mulching Methods on Yield and Water Use Efficiency of Dryland Potato

The effect of mulching methods on yield and and water use efficiency of dryland potato was studied.The results showed that the completely mulched alternating narrow and wide with furrow planting,film-mulched on ridges combined with wheat straw covered in furrow can greatly increase corn yield and water use efficiency(WUE).Grain yield and WUE was high than conventional treatments as 57.79%,36.31% and 54.08%,31.41%,respectively;Different mulching cultivation methods affected the soil storage,the completely mulched alternating narrow and wide with furrow planting,film-mulched on ridges and wheat straw covered in furrow,the completely mulched wheat straw mulch flat planting can significantly improve 0～110 cm soil water storge.
