The article considers the latest technology of creating supercapacitors based on cement, water, and carbon black (ec³). The achievements of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in increasing the energy density of such systems by 10 times due to the optimization of organic electrolytes and the introduction of nanocarbon networks are analyzed. The prospects of using concrete as a massive energy storage device to meet the needs of households and integrate with renewable energy sources are substantiated.
