Construction of pyrroles, furans and thiophenes via intramolecular cascade desulfonylative/dehydrogenative cyclization of vinylidenecyclopropanes induced by NXS (X = I or Br)

Pyrroles, furans, and thiophenes were efficiently obtained by NXS mediated desulfonylative/dehydrogenative cyclization of vinylidenecyclopropanes within 0.5 h. The reaction mechanism was investigated by control experiments and DFT calculations.
