Simulation and Analysis of an Enhanced Pmf-Fft Acquisition Algorithm

To address significant gain attenuation and insufficient frequency offset estimation accuracy in conventional PMF-FFT algorithms under high-dynamic satellite spreadspectrum communication scenarios, this paper proposes an enhanced high-precision acquisition algorithm based on an improved PMF-FFT framework. A mathematical model is established to analyze the amplitude-frequency response characteristics, implementing three key modifications: A new window function was applied jointly before both the PMF and FFT modules to mitigate gain attenuation and scalloping loss; twofold zero-padding was implemented after the PMF module to reduce spectral leakage; quadratic function interpolation was then employed to compensate for frequency offset in the acquisition results. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only significantly reduces output gain attenuation but also achieves over 50 % higher accuracy in Doppler frequency offset acquisition compared to the conventional algorithm.
